Ranching LegacyDecatur, Texas is known for the Waggoner family. Their ranching empire was built on herding stray Longhorn cattle that once ran rampant in Texas back in the 1800's. They purchased the ranch by the sale of the Longhorns, after driving them up to the Colorado railhead.
